Senior Section Engineer:
- Four years Bachelor’s Degree in (a) Mechanical/ Electrical / Electronic Engineering OR
- A combination of any sub stream of basic streams of Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics Engineering from a recognized university / institute approved by AICTE.
Technician-III / Electrical:
- Matriculation / SSLC plus ITI from recognized institutions of NCVT / SCVT in the trades of Electrician / Wireman / Mechanic (HT, LT Equipment and Cable Jointing) Electronics Mechanic OR
- Matriculation / SSLC plus Course Completed Act Apprenticeship in the trades mentioned above.
Assistant Loco Pilot:
- Matriculation / SSLC plus ITI from recognized institutions of NCVT / SCVT in the trades of Armature and Coil Winder / Electrician / Electronics Mechanic /Fitter /Heat Engine / Instrument Mechanic / Machinist /Mechanic Diesel / Mechanic (Motor Vehicle) / Millwright Maintenance Mechanic / Mechanic Radio & TV /Refrigeration and Air-conditioning Mechanic / Tractor Mechanic / Turner / Wireman OR
- Matriculation / SSLC plus Course Completed Act Apprenticeship in the trades mentioned above OR Matriculation SSLC plus 3 years Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics / Automobile Engineering OR

Konkan Railway Recruitment 2024 Preference in Recruitment
Candidates securing the minimum qualifying marks prescribed for the posts shall be given preference in recruitment in the following order:
- Land loser candidates: Eligible land loser candidates will be given first preference for recruitment. The land loser candidates have been defined in terms of this office letter no.CO-13033/ 1/ 2018-Pers dated 29/08/2019 (also mentioned in para 6 of this notification).
- Candidates registered in Employment Exchanges along KR route: Second preference for recruitment will be given to other than land losers who are domiciled in Maharashtra, Goa, Karnataka and are registered in the Employment Exchange along Konkan Railway route within the jurisdiction of Konkan Railway Corporation Ltd. (Raigad, Sindhudurg and Ratnagiri Districts of Maharashtra, Goa State, Uttara Kannada, Udupi and Dakshina Kannada/South Kannada Districts of Karnataka).
- Domicile of Maharashtra, GOA, Karnataka, and KRCL employees: Third preference for recruitment will be given to non-land losers domiciled in Maharashtra, Goa, Karnataka, and KRCL employees.

- The application for online registration will be hosted on the Konkan Railway website from 16 Sept. 2024.
- Applications will be received online only.
- Upon registration, applicants will be provided with an online Registration Number, which should be carefully preserved for future reference.
- E-mail ID of the applicant is to be given in the application compulsorily.
